5. Governance and Voting

Governance is the cornerstone of PredictDAO. It is a means to create a decentralized prediction market platform. Token holders are allowed to vote, including but not limited to the voting of initial proposal, pledge as node, report node, platform governance, etc.

The purpose of governance system is to prevent the results from being manipulated, and to promote the development and renewal of the platform through community decision-making.

5.1 Report and Supervision System

When it comes to the result generation time, the prediction result is uploaded by the governance node, and accepted by all users during the result publicity period. Refer to 2.3 for details.

5.2 Platform Development and Governance System

Proposals on the future development of the platform can be initiated by users, and other users can vote with governance tokens. When more than 50% of the users vote, the platform developers will refine R&D.

5.3 Voting Restrictions

Whenever it is the initial proposal vote, report vote, or the vote of platform development governance proposal, it needs more than 50% of the votes, and the number of votes needs to be greater than a certain base.
